George Morrison started rallying with the Armed Forces Rally Team (AFRT) back in 2002, Initially starting off as service crew for the team. George stayed as service crew till 2006 where he secured a Co-drivers position within AFRT. George finished the season in 2006 winning the co-drivers championship within the team.
In 2008 George started as a driver within the AFRT and competed for 2 seasons. In 2010 George decided to break away from the AFRT and compete in the British Rally Championship Challenge (BRCC). George finished the 2010 season in his 1400cc 205 coming 5th overall in the championship and winning his class RC1.
Since the 2010 season the car had some upgrades and started the 2013 BRC Challenge which once again ran alongside the MSA British Rally Championship. Sadly a large accident on the closed roads of the Jim Clark Rally meant that George had to take a sabbatical until 2015.
George will tackle this years popular BTRDA Rally Challenge Championship in the 1400cc section of the event and will be co-driven by fellow soldier Jon Quintrell.
